WOLVERINE GUNS AND TACKLE

OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES 

Each Contest is administered by Wolverine Guns & Tackle ("WGT"). A list of active Contests and official start dates for each Contest can be found under the "Contest" heading at WGT's official website (www.wolverinegt.shop). The following rules are applicable to each and every Contest administered by WGT. By participating, the Contestant agrees to be bound by the following rules:

1. The Contest Period

a. Each Contest will begin at 12:01 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (“MST”) on the specified Contest start date, and will end at 11:59 p.m. MST on the specified Contest end date. All entries must be received within these dates and times. WGT reserves the right to extend a contest in the event the contest doesn’t sell out in the allotted time.

2. Eligibility

a. Contestants must be legal residents of Canada, excluding the Province of Quebec, who are the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry. All employees, directors and officers of WGT, as well as their immediate family members, are ineligible to enter a Contest administered by WGT. By participating, the Contestant represents and warrants to WGT that they meet the eligibility requirements. Proof of eligibility must be provided to WGT upon request.

3. How to Enter

a. Contestants may enter a Contest in one of two ways: i. PURCHASE OF A QUALIFYING PRODUCT. Contestants that purchase a qualifying product from WGT will receive an entry into a Contest. Contestants must provide their full name, age, mailing and residential address (if different), phone number, and email address. A list of qualifying products will be available on WGT’s official website under the “Contest” heading. Contestants may receive more than one entry into a Contest. For further clarity, Contestants that purchase more than one qualifying product will receive a corresponding entry into a Contest. All purchases of a qualifying product must be made within the Contest Period.

ii. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. No purchase is necessary to enter a Contest. In order to enter a Contest without purchasing a qualifying product, a Contestant must submit an essay on a topic determined by WGT. The essay topic, length of essay, and other applicable details will be posted at WGT’s official website under the “Contest” heading. The details of each essay may vary between each Contest. The essay must be the original work of the Contestant. Contestants shall not submit the same essay for more than one Contest. Contestants may submit more than one essay for the same Contest, so long as each essay is not the same and meets the Contest guidelines. For further clarity, Contestants that submit more than one essay for a single Contest will receive a corresponding entry into that Contest. All valid and completed essays must be mailed to WGT at 409 Lantern St, Red Deer, Alberta T4E 0A5. Contestants must also include their full name, age, mailing and residential address (if different), phone number, email address, and the Contest name/number at the top of the essay. Contestants must also sign their name at the bottom of the essay. All entries must be received by WGT within the Contest Period. WGT is not liable for any lost, late, damaged, or illegible entries. Any and all costs associated with submitting an entry are the sole responsibility of the Contestant.

4. Odds

a. The odds of winning each Contest will depend on the total number of entries received for that specific Contest.

5. Prize

a. The Prize for each Contest will be posted at WGT's official website under the "Contest" heading. Prizes for each Contest shall be solely determined by WGT. A Contestant shall not be permitted to substitute or exchange a Prize for a different item or cash equivalent. Prizes are accepted “as is”. No representations or warranties, whether express or implied, are made by WGT with respect to a Prizes value, quality, merchantability, or fitness for a specific purpose.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

a. WGT will select a winner for each Contest on a date and time specified on WGT's official website under the "Contest" heading. Each Contest draw will be streamed live on WGT’s official Facebook page.

b. Each Contestant will have their name written on an individual piece of paper and placed into a clear container. The first name drawn from the container shall be declared the Potential Winner for that Contest.

c. The Potential Winner for each Contest will be notified by email. The Potential Winner will have 96 hours from the time the email is sent by WGT to reply. Potential Winners must reply to WGT’s email in order to accept their Prize. If a reply is received by WGT within the specified time limit, the Potential Winner will receive a phone call from WGT to the phone number specified in the contact details previously provided by the Potential Winner. The Potential Winner must answer a mathematical skill testing question during said phone call. The Potential Winner shall have two minutes and only one chance to answer the question correctly. The Potential Winner is prohibited from using a calculator or other mechanical aide to answer the question. Upon providing a correct answer to the aforementioned question within the parameters explained above, the Potential Winner will be declared the Official Winner. The name of the Official Winner will be posted on WGT’s official Facebook page for each individual Contest. By accepting the Prize, the Official Winner grants permission to WGT to use their name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

d. In the event that the first name drawn does not reply within the specified time limit, or the Potential Winner does not provide a validly correct answer to the skill testing question, a second name will be drawn pursuant to the guidelines discussed above. This process will continue until an Official Winner is declared.

7. Delivery of Contest Prize

a. When possible, all Prizes will be delivered to Official Winners via Canada Post. If the Prize is unable to be delivered via Canada Post, WGT retains sole discretion to choose its method of delivery. The Official Winner will not hold WGT responsible for any Prizes that may be lost or damaged during the process of delivery. All Shipping costs related to the delivery will be paid by Wolverine Guns & Tackle.

8. Intellectual Property

a. By entering the Contest, the Contestant assigns any and all intellectual property rights they have, or may have in the future, in the work submitted to WGT for the purposes of the Contest. This includes, but is not limited to, all copyright or moral rights the Contestant may have in the submitted product.

b. By entering the Contest, the Contestant represents and warrants to WGT that the product submitted for entry is the original work of the Contestant, and does not violate any Third Party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. The Contestant hereby indemnifies WGT from any and all costs or claims that may arise in the event said entry violates the intellectual or proprietary rights of a Third Party.

9. Limitation of Liability

a. Contestants agree to release and hold harmless WGT, its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, employees, directors, and officers from any damage, liability, death, or any other form of loss, whether directly or indirectly, as a result of the following: i. the Contestants participation in the Contest; ii. the Contestants possession, use, or misuse of any Prize or portion thereof; iii. technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to, the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, telephone, or related hardware; iv. the unauthorized actions of another Contestant or Third Party; or v. any electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or processing of entries.

b. WGT may, at its discretion, require an Official Winner to sign and return to WGT a Statement of Compliance and Release Agreement. By signing this Statement and Agreement, the Official Winner represents and warrants to WGT that it has complied with the Contest rules, and is eligible to receive the Contest Prize. Furthermore, the Official Winner releases WGT from all causes of action and liability as set out above. A signed Statement of Compliance and Release Agreement must be received by the Official Winner prior to WGT releasing the Prize to the Official Winner, if required.

c. WGT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Contestant that it believes is in contravention of any of the rules, terms, or conditions as set out above.

10. General

a. The Contest is in no way associated, sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook.

b. The Contest is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta. By entering the Contest, Contestants agree that all disputes which may arise as a result of participating in the Contest, and which cannot be resolved between the parties, is to be resolved exclusively by a court with jurisdiction in the Province of Alberta. Furthermore, WGT reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to choose the judicial center in which such a dispute is to be resolved.
